"Cannot open checksum file" error after copying project from nonregulated to regulated environment - WKB12181

SYMPTOMS

• Project copied from nonregulated to regulated environment in Windows Explorer
• Logged in to MassLynx as regulated user
• Opened project but "Cannot open checksum file" error occurs

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1 with full security

CAUSE

Project must be imported into regulated environment to create checksum files.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Log in to MassLynx as a regulated user.
   Note: Make sure that the project that opens does not display the checksum error. Change to a different regulated project if necessary.
2. Open Windows Explorer.
3. Browse to the nonregulated project, and copy it to the regulated environment.
4. Select Security > Import project in MassLynx, and then highlight the project copied in step 3.
5. Specify the MassLynx user and the MassLynx administrator in the confirmation window.
   Note: You cannot have administrator in the MassLynx user field.
6. Click OK.
7. Open the project.
