No action is triggered by mass method events in a MassLynx segmented method - WKB116299

Article number: 116299

SYMPTOMS

  • No action is triggered even if the method event is enabled in a time segment mass method; for example, we want the flow state to change from Waste to LC at 0.5 min after injection, but the fluidics keep in waste; this usually happens in segmented mass methods

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx 4.1
  • MassLynx 4.2

CAUSE

A series of events can be attached to a method file. These events can control the flow rate, flow state, and the reservoir used. They can also control the LC and other peripherals through the switches on the rear of the instrument. To activate the method event, select “Enable” in the method events settings. However, no action is triggered by method events when event time is not included in an acquiring segment time

FIX or WORKAROUND

Ensure that the event time is included in an acquiring segment time.
