OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Export or copy a chromatogram or spectrum from MassLynx to PowerPoint so that it can be modified.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

PROCEDURE

1. In Chromatogram or Spectrum view, go to Edit > Copy Picture (or click the Camera icon on the tool bar).
2. In PowerPoint, select the slide in which the chromatogram or spectrum is to be pasted.
3. On the PowerPoint Home tab, click on the down arrow below the Paste icon.
4. Select Paste Special.
5. From the Paste Special menu, select Picture (Windows Metafile).
6. In PowerPoint, right-click on the picture and select Group > Ungroup from the menu.
7. Select YES to the message "This is an imported picture, not a group. Do you want to convert it to a Microsoft Office drawing object?"
