Updates to the Method Validation Manager option in Empower 3.8.0.

PROCEDURE

STEP 1
The Sign Off workflow has been modified so that you can sign off on Result Sets before generating Validation Results. If you open a Protocol and go to the Approvals/Sign Offs tab, you will see an option at the bottom of the screen that states, “Require sign off of all Result Sets before creating Validation Results”. Check the box if you wish to use this option (figure 1).

STEP 2
In the Validation Study, we can see on the lower right side of the screen that the Result Sets have been signed off (figure 2).

STEP 3
To allow more granular reporting, the Error – SS value from the regression ANOVA table is also available as the RSS (Residual Sum of Squares) field located in the Linearity Result table within the Validation Review and Report Publisher (figure 3).

STEP 4
The User Type “Method Validation Administrator” had several implicit privileges, meaning some privileges were not listed in the properties of this User Type. Those privileges are now listed in the properties of the User Type so that it can be customized to your needs. Please refer to Tip #352.
