ALS error when performing an injection with 7890B GC and 7850 G4567A sampler on Empower with ICF 3.1 - WKB98921

SYMPTOMS

• When performing an injection with a 7890B GC and 7850 G4567A, an ALS error occurs
• On the diagnostics tab, it states ALS Failure Code 206: Autoinjector front tower syringe error 
• Creating a new method does not work
• Reconfiguring instrument using the Pre-Configuration utility does not resolve the issue
• When injecting using the 7697A Headspace, it works as expected

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Instrument Control Framework 3.1
• Agilent 7890B GC
• G4567A autosampler

CAUSE

The ALS syringe has a travel lock still in place and the syringe cannot move. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the travel lock.
2. Perform an injection.
