To change the IP address of the Empower database server.

ENVIRONMENT

Empower Enterprise

PROCEDURE

Yes.

1. Keep the same host name of the server.
2. Change the IP address.
3. Update DNS for the different IP address. Check the hosts file in case there is a conflicting ip address there.
4. If the client's TNSnames.ora files are using the Empower database server's host IP address instead of host name, then update the IP address on the clients.
5. If the Raw Data Path is using IP address, change Default Raw Data Path in Empower an use Move project Data to change path to the Raw Data Path for all exisiting projects.
