SYMPTOMS

• Empower sample set becomes stuck at "Preparing for Injection" and no sample injected

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 3465 Electrochemical Detector

CAUSE

System is not communicating correctly—most likely a communication issue with the FTN.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close all windows in Empower.
2. Power-down the modules and the Empower PC.
3. Restart the Empower PC and log in to Windows.
4. Turn on the modules
5. Log in to Empower and launch Run Samples.
6. Load a method and run samples.
