Why do I see "Connection to Chromatography System Lost" in the Empower message center? - WKB91854

ANSWER

This error can occur with the InstrumentServer.exe file for either of two reasons:

  • The Empower Instrument Server executable file (InstrumentServer.exe) closes unexpectedly.
  • A network problem occurs between an Empower Run Samples, QuickStart, or Walk Up application and the acquisition node that is running InstrumentServer.exe.

If the Empower client were the run sample is open doesn't have the communication with the Empower database, the popup Connection to chromatography system lost will appear, but no message in the Empower Message Center.
