Freezing with an MFC application error when opening the editor screen of a report method created with Empower 3 SR3 or earlier - WKB91292

SYMPTOMS

• Occasionally appears after upgrading to SR3
• No issue observed with report methods newly created in this version
• If you open the report method created in the previous version by double-clicking from the Method tab, the following error appears: 
  MFC application has stopped working
  The server threw an exception.
  This error causes the freezing.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 SR3

CAUSE

Report method was created in previous version.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Create a new report method in SR3.
