SYMPTOMS

  • Empower login error "Connection to LDAP server failed"

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3

CAUSE

The LDAP server SSL certificate has expired.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Clear the "Use SSL" box in Configure the System, View, System Policies, User Account, LDAP Authentication, LDAP Domain Manager, Edit page.
  2. Have the domain administrator renew the LDAP SSL certificate on the domain.
