How to manually push Empower data off a LAC/E32 - WKB88320

Article number: 88320

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Manually push Empower data off a LAC/E32

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower Enterprise
  • LAC/E32
  • Empower data sits in a temporary project folder on LAC/E32 due to a buffering event
  • Empower data does not naturally move to the Empower Server

PROCEDURE

  1. Go to Microsoft Services on the LAC/E32 and stop the WatersService.
  2. Open the CMD window and type in the following commands:
  • cd\  <enter>
  • cd empower  <enter>
  • cd bin  <enter>
  • instrumentserver -recover  <enter>. You will see nothing in the CMD window; it will drop back to the prompt.

3. Wait about 10 seconds, and then start the WatersService.

4. You can now check the recover log on the LAC/E to see if the data has recovered.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If other acquisitions on other systems are presently running on the LAC/E32, do not stop the WatersService, just execute the command.
