OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Update the Agilent PreConfiguration Utility when there is a change in Agilent GC instrument hardware.
ENVIRONMENT
- Agilent Instrument Control Framework (all versions)
- Agilent 7890 GC
- Agilent 7697A Headspace
- Agilent 6890 GC
- Agilent 6850 GC
- Empower Enterprise
PROCEDURE
- Bring the system configured to Empower offline.
- Update the Pre-Configuration utility by selecting the "Get GC Configuration" icon for GC.
- If G1888 is configured, update the PreConfiguration utility by selecting the "Upload from Instrument" button on the Configure tab.
- If HS7697 is configured, update the PreConfiguration utility by selecting the "Upload Config from Instrument" button on the Configure tab.
- Bring the system configured to Empower online.
- Ensure that the system shows YES in Empower node properties on the Instruments tab.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note: If the system does not show YES in Empower node properties after updating the PreConfiguration utility, restart the LAC/E.
