Does the 2695 Alliance or e2695 Alliance system wait for the Sample Cooler and Column Heater/Cooler to reach the set temperature before injecting? - WKB83344

Article number: 83344

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 2
  • Empower 3
  • Alliance HPLC system
  • 2695 Separations Module
  • Alliance Series Column Heater
  • Alliance Series Column Heater/Cooler

ANSWER

No

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It will run the sample set and show Alert message on the Alliance display: "Sample temp over limit ( )" or "Column temp limit ( )" .

The Alliance will display this warning message based on the specified limit/range in the Instrument method when it is downloaded. Acknowledging this message will not be recorded in the Empower message center as the driver communication protocol is built into Empower.

CRI-8022 was created as an enhancement request to record the warning message in Empower message center.

Suppose the sample compartment temperature/column temperature deviates beyond the range. In that case, an error message appears (and the run stops if the default method in the separations module has a Stop Flow alert response for sample temperature errors).

For example, below screenshot,

Image1.png

For Sample Temperature, any change in temperature between 24 degrees C to 26 degrees C will be shown as a warning in the Alliance front panel. If the temperature is less than 24 degrees C or higher than 26 degrees C, the run will be stopped with an instrument failure.

The same applies to column temperature.

Update 04Apr2025: CRI-8022 was raised but it is closed on 11Dec2024, because customer accepted that "For messages acknowledged on the front panel, Empower cannot assign a user to the action of pressing OK."
