One peak is not integrated when applying processing method in Empower - WKB77700

SYMPTOMS

• One peak for a standard is not integrated in Empower
• The peak falls within the processing method retention time window 
• Processing method has minimum area criteria 
• After calibration, the peak that should be identified is "missing"

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

The minimum peak parameter for area was too high and the smallest peak could not be integrated. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Decrease the minimum area limit to be able to identify the smallest peak. 
2. Save the processing method.
3. Reprocess.

Or create a new processing method via the Processing Method Wizard and ensure that you select the smallest peak of interest to determine minimum area criteria.
