ANSWER
Yes. Certain keywords/names are reserved for DOS and Windows use. They should not be used for Empower projects.
Naming a project in Empower with a reserved name will bring either of two results:
1) Failure to proceed, with an error (for example, "Failed to create directory \\serverpath\directory name).
2) Project creation completes in Empower, but the raw data file folder has an extra character added by Windows (e.g., PRN^). The project cannot be backed up through Empower, and it is likely that raw data will not store to the project correctly. Correct operation cannot be guaranteed.
Folder creation with these names is prohibited in Windows:
