Testing the file share in Empower shows it is not valid, even though user can review data - WKB76267

SYMPTOMS

• Testing the file share in Empower (in configuration manager, view > manage raw data files) shows it is not valid, even though users can review both historic data and currently running data
• The file share drive can be successfully mapped from LAC/E32 to server
• The server can be pinged from the LAC/E32
• Rebooting the server does not resolve the issue
• Other Empower users have no issues

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise

CAUSE

The Empower account is not part of the service group on the file share server, even though it is an administrator on the server.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Add the user account to the service group.
