ACQUITY PDA "Communication Failure" cannot be cleared with the reset PDA function - WKB73031

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Open WatersDHCPserver and delete the ACQ-PDA row.
  2. Switch off the ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector.
  3. Switch on the ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector and confirm that ACQ-PDA is back in the WatersDHCPServer (perhaps with another IP address; it doesn't matter).
  4. Open the run sample and confirm that the control panel is ok for ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector.
  5. If the control panel is not ok, run Drive:\Empower\InstrumentServer\Bin\Stopacquityprocess.cmd from the LAC/E32 (after closing the run sample and verifying that there's no acquisition on the LAC/E32).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Rebooting the LAC/E32 did not resolve this issue.
