QDa "preparing for injection" while running a sample set in Empower - WKB69383

SYMPTOMS

• QDa is stuck at "preparing for injection" while running a sample set in Empower
• Unable to perform a single injection from the single inject tab
• Creating a new sample set method does not resolve the issue 
• Rebooting the system and LAC/E does not resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector
• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Citrix

CAUSE

Corrupt instrument method, or faulty LAC/E network card

FIX or WORKAROUND

Create a new instrument method, or replace the LAC/E network card.

Add UV detector to system. Once UV was added injections indexed as normal.
