SYMPTOMS

• Failed to fetch error in Empower when trying to open Alter Sample.
• PC was restarted in the middle of the sample set. 
• Data can be reviewed in Empower.
• Restarting the PC and instrument does not resolve the issue.
• Copying the sample set into a new project does not resolve the issue.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Personal 

CAUSE

Unknown.

The sample set was interrupted due to PC restart. It is possible the sample set became unresponsive in the background and was corrupted.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Create a process-only sample set from the sample set that was interrupted.
