Sample set does not move to second injection when using a 2487 and 2475 in Empower - WKB60050

Article number: 60050

SYMPTOMS

  • When running a sample set with an Alliance 2690, 2487 detector, and 2475 detector, the run does not proceed to the second injection.
  • When collecting data, they can see trace for the 2487, but not the 2475.
  • If running only 2690 with the 2487, the sample set proceeds to the next injection.
  • There is an I/O cable attached between the 2690 and 2475.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • Alliance HPLC System
  • 2695 Separations Module
  • 2475 Multi-Wavelength Fluorescence Detector
  • 2487 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector

CAUSE

There is a trigger signal issue between the 2690 and 2475.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Confirm that the I/O cable on the back of the 2690 and 2475 is seated properly and is in the correct I/O signal connectors.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

With mix-matched connections, such as IEEE and Ethernet, you need an inject start cable between the 2690 and the 2475.
