SYMPTOMS

• Message fails to copy when performing project backups in Empower
• "Export spawn process failed for project" error also occurs with other projects when trying to back up
• Errors occur when backing up to network share and local desktop 
• Errors do not occur consistently with one project 
• The user performing backups has the correct permissions
• Errors occur when user is connected through one specific Citrix server

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower Enterprise
• Citrix

CAUSE

The issue is with the user's Citrix profile for one server. The user is able to perform backups successfully when connected to a different Citrix server.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Delete the Citrix profile from the server with the issue and recreate the profile.
2. Perform backup as normal.
