Wrong user type recorded in Empower System Audit Trail - WKB4591

SYMPTOMS

• Wrong user type recorded in System Audit Trail when user changes the system status Bringing system online/offline).
• User type is Analyst but recorded as Chemist in System Audit Trail.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3.

CAUSE

This is due to the access setting of the project folder where the Allowed Access for group and world user type is set to Chemist, therefore any actions recorded in the System Audit trail record the user type as Chemist. This is because the Group and World User Type override an individual's user types privileges for the project.  

FIX or WORKAROUND

To record the correct user type, under project properties in the access tab, set the access settings for group and world user as 'User Own Type'.
