"Server Busy" error when running Agilent 7890GC with 7697A headspace sampler under ICF v3.0 control in Empower - WKB45525

SYMPTOMS

• Can successfully monitor a 7890GC system with 7697A headspace sampler in the Empower Run Samples screen
• "Server Busy" message appears when attempting to run a sample set using the same system

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR4
• ICF Support v3.0
• Agilent 7890GC
• Agilent 7697A Headspace Sampler

CAUSE

A separate instrument exists and is configured in the chromatographic system for the Agilent 7697A Headspace Sampler. This is not required for proper instrument control.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Update the chromatographic system to remove the Agilent 7697A instrument.
2. Delete the Agilent 7697A DHCP entry.
3. Delete the Agilent 7697A instrument from the Instruments tab of the Node Properties window.
