SYMPTOMS
- Message center shows instrument failure.
- No other messages.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 2
- Empower 3
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
- 2489 UV/Vis Detector
CAUSE
A 2475 detector is listed in the Empower "System Properties", but there is no 2475 detector physically connected to the system.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Delete 2475 from the Instrument method, and then save method.
- Recreate new system without the 2475, and then save method.
- Reboot instruments and computer.
