Injection continues for indefinite run time in Agilent 8890 GC, with error "Instrument Failure - End of run wait timed out" - WKB301060

SYMPTOMS
- The sample set contains equilibrate followed by the Inject samples function
- The control panel shows the run time as 999.9 minutes while running the equilibrate function; does not move to the next injection
- Issue occurs even if the Agilent 8890 GC firmware is updated above 2.4

CAUSE
The ICF support layer is not able to handle the run time for a non-inject function.
FIX or WORKAROUND
This issue is resolved in WICF 4.1 and above (Waters CRI-8097, Agilent WICF-986, and Agilent Internal GC Driver tracking number TT298143).
