Acknowledgment of the Alliance alert message "Sample temp low/high limit" or "Column temp low/high limit" is not recorded in Empower message center - WKB299941

SYMPTOMS

• The Alliance displays this warning message based on the specified low /high limit/range in the Instrument method; acknowledging this message is not recorded in the Empower message center
• Below are the possible messages, not limited to those shown on the Alliance front panel, that may not be recorded in the Empower message center at the time of acknowledgment.
  • Column Temp Over Limit
  • Low Column Temp
  • Low Sample Temp
  • Sample Temp Over Limit

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Alliance e2695/e2795

CAUSE

Empower is working as expected based on the built-in Alliance driver protocol. After acknowledgment, this message can be repeated multiple times until the set point is reached.

Because Empower software may not know the user acknowledging at the Alliance front panel, it is impossible to record the action in the Empower message center.

However, the Alliance driver, by default, records the message in the message center based on the instrument method if the sample/column set-point temperature is not achieved when the sample set is running.

FIX or WORKAROUND

No fix or workaround is required.
