SYMPTOMS

• Error occurs after a large sequence with Agilent + CAD instruments 
  • Instrument Failure SIIDetector#XXX
  • There is an error in XML document (1, 1)
  • Stopped the sequence queue run
  • Instrument Failure - End of run wait timed out at 1800.8 seconds. No reply from SIIDetector#XXX

• Empower 3
• Agilent instrument
• SIIDetector
• LAC/E 15
• LAC/E 16

CAUSE

BIOS performance issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. On a Dell-LAC/E Computer, disable C-State in the BIOS:
   1. Reboot PC.
   2. Press F2 while the computer is rebooting to enter the BIOS configuration menu.
   3. Under Settings, select Performance.
   4. Scroll down to "C-States Control".
   5. Clear the "C states" check box.
   6. Click the Apply button.
   7. Click the Exit button.
