SYMPTOMS

• Instrument Failure - End of run wait timed out at 4201.1 seconds. No reply from W2489#serialnumber
• SQT performed without issue on 12 new Arc systems
• Three were put into use and all showed the issue
• Issue seen on all sample sets after one or two injections

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• FR5
• DP2018R1
• Customer-supplied HP Elite SFF 600 G9

CAUSE

Customer found:

• NIC drivers were 2015.
• Multi-Core support was disabled.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Update the NIC drivers.
2. Enable Multi-core support.

Note: Waters-supplied Config 16 LAC/E Multi-Core support is a BIOS option - Enable Multi-Core Support (it is enabled by default)
