Instrument failure with Sciex CE: "End of run wait timed out at x seconds" - WKB270637

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument failure with the specific error message "End of wait timed out at x seconds"

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Sciex CE 1.3.0

CAUSE

There are two run times configured in this type of system. The Run Time column in the sample set method and the end event on the Time Program tab of the instrument method. If the end event time is more than 10 minutes longer than the run time specified in the sample set method, an instrument failure with this error message will result.  

FIX or WORKAROUND

Ensure that the end time is the same as the run time in the sample set method.
