SYMPTOMS

• Message “Oracle cannot handle spaces on share names, remove them and try again” when attempting to archive system audit trail to binary file
• No error in message center and no record in system audit trail

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR4 Enterprise

CAUSE

The name of the folder being used to store the binary file of the system audit trail contains spaces (for example, "System Audit Trail").

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove spaces from the folder name, or replace the spaces with symbols (for example, "SystemAuditTrail " or “System_Audit_Trail”).
