Why are the molecular weights missing for the standard injections in the Empower 3 GPC Review window? - WKB25264

SYMPTOMS

• After processing GPC data, there are no molecular weight values for the standard injections

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• GPC analysis

CAUSE

The molecular weights were not entered manually by the user in the component editor window.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Highlight the sample set that was run.
2. Right-click it.
3. Select Alter Sample.
4. In the Alter Sample window, click Edit in the toolbar and select Amount. This opens the Component Editor.
5. In the table, specify the known molecular weights for the standards.
6. When all of the molecular weights are specified, click OK.
7. In the Alter Sample window, click File > Save.
8. Close Alter Sample and reprocess the sample set.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In the Alter Sample window, be certain that the Sample Type for the standards is set to Narrow Standard.
