With Agilent ICF Support 3.4, HS 7697, and GC 8860, second injection stays in preparing for injection mode, and then a Server Busy error message appears - WKB235874

SYMPTOMS

• HS 7697, GC 8860, front injector selected in the instrument method (no issue in headspace mode)
• First injection is fine, but second injection stays in Preparing for injection mode, and then Server Busy Retry/Switch to message appears
• Must restart the LAC/E and the GC to be able to control the GC again

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent ICF Support 3.4
• Agilent 8860

CAUSE

J&W is selected as Manufacturer in additional information for the GC column.

FIX or WORKAROUND

In column configuration > Manufacturer, specify Agilent instead of J&W.
