SYMPTOMS

• Acquisition fails at random times
• PC reverts to login screen

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Windows 10

CAUSE

Windows updates are being downloaded and run. This causes the PC to restart at random times.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Disable automatic Windows updates, or disconnect from the LAN.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A manual process might be needed to ensure that updates are rolled out in a controlled way, when no data is being acquired.
