Empower "Impurity Response" is incorrectly calculated - WKB222627
Article number: 222627
SYMPTOMS
- The peak value of "Impurity Response" may be calculated incorrectly when the "Impurity Response" field in your processing method is set to a Custom Field and that Custom Field and the Processing Method have been copied into the project from another project.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
- Processing Method
- Impurity Response
CAUSE
This is a defect that has been opened as CRI-1771.
FIX or WORKAROUND
This defect has been fixed in the Empower 3.7.0 (715007561 Ver. 01).
And also this issue was fixed through Hot fix in Empower 3.6.1.3 and expected release in Q2-2025.
WORKAROUND:
- Open the processing method and go to the Impurity tab. Change the Impurity Response to a different selection, and then change it back to the original custom field.
- Use the Clone functionality to create the new project instead of copying the Custom Field and Processing Method. When you clone the project, remember to copy the processing methods. This option maintains the same custom field IDs in the new project which avoids the issue.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When a custom field or processing method is copied to a new project, to avoid the described behavior, carry out the workaround after copying the custom field and processing method to the new project.
This CRI-1771 has been resolved in 3.7.0 and is documented in the 3.7.0 release notes.
