In Empower, how do I create an Agilent system with two separate detectors to be used separately? - WKB221446

• Empower 3
• Agilent ICF

ANSWER

1. System 1 > Pump > Sampler > Column Compartment > UV Detector - Communication via UV detector (Host) with IP address 192.168.0.2.

2. System 2 > Same System 1 .

>Pump> System 1 Sampler > System 1 Column Compartment > Other Detector - Communication via Pump (Host) with IP address 192.168.0.3. Create two systems in Empower.

Only one system can be online at a time. When working on System 1, turn OFF the Other detector. (Also, remove the Ethernet cable from the pump.)

While working on System 2,  turn OFF the System 1 UV detector.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Alternatively, you can use the Instrument method and turn OFF the detector not being used to acquire the data.
