SYMPTOMS

• Instrument failure in message center
• Agilent Pre-Configuration Tool successfully populates instrument configuration
• IP address configured correctly as static on the front panel of the GC and Headspace
• IP addresses for both GC and Headspace communicate successfully
• Instrument information configuration correct in DHCP

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent 8890 GC
• Agilent 7697A Headspace Analyzer
• Empower 3
• ICF Support Layer 3.4

CAUSE

Agilent drivers A.02.04 on LAC/E

FIX or WORKAROUND

Update drivers on the LAC/E to match those in ICF SL 3.4.
