Agilent LC freezes up while equilibrating under Empower control - WKB1926

SYMPTOMS

• When equilibrating in Empower, the Agilent LC system freezes and never progresses

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower Enterprise
• Agilent LC 2.1 Hotfix 1 ICF 1.04 ICF-LC Driver 1.04

CAUSE

Defect in driver

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Upgrade to the current version Agilent LC Driver 2.2.
2. Completely remove the Agilent 2.1 through Windows Start Menu > All Programs > Empower Folder > Remove Instrument Component Software logged into the computer as a Local Administrator.
3. Remove the ICF and ICF-LC Drivers through Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs).
4. Restart the computer.
5. Install Agilent Driver 2.2 as a local Administrator.
6. Restart the computer.
7. Run as normal.
