Empower 3 FR3 Client Installation Error "Full installation failed. Installation success or error status: 1603" - WKB17738

SYMPTOMS

1. Start a full installation of Empower 3 Feature Release 3 and select an Enterprise - Client installation.
2. A message appears: Warning: This operating system is not supported, do you want to continue with the installation?
3. Select Yes to continue.
4. The installation continues and later a window appears with the message "Full installation failed. Installation success or error status: 1603."
5. The Empower shortcut is on the desktop, Empower is seen under the Windows Programs menu, and the Empower folder is present in the file system.
6. The Empower Installation Log includes the following messages:
   • WARNING: This is a non-validated installation due to an unsupported operating system.
   • The Empower 3 Deployment Manager has failed to install the product. Product Version: 7.3.104.0. Product Language: English(US). Installation success or error status: 1603.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR3

CAUSE

The Windows 7 32-bit operating system is unsupported for Empower 3.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Uninstall Empower 3 FR3.
2. Install Empower 3 FR3 on a supported operating system.
