SYMPTOMS

• The error "Deployment Manager Failed" appears
• 
• Error message in Empower.log: "There is a problem launching the Oracle Setup. Oracle cannot be installed."

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR4
• Empower 3 FR5

CAUSE

Defective installation media

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Confirm the defect by verifying the MD5 checksum
   • Use MD5summer to open the .md5 file found in the top level of your installation medium
   • Any red dot indicates a compromised file
2. Obtain new installation media
