SYMPTOMS

  • During an Empower upgrade, a window appears requiring the user to enter an Oracle Sys Account username and password

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3 Feature Release 2 (upgrading to Feature Release 3)

CAUSE

The OracleserviceEMPOWER service is stopped.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Service.
  2. Scroll down and right-click on OracleserviceEMPOWER.
  3. Right-click this service and select Start.
  4. Restart the upgrade process.
