A Group Admin for a user group can add or delete user accounts in Empower without the specific privilege for their user type - WKB114356

SYMPTOMS

• A user group has a Group Admin who does not have the privilege to create or delete users for their logged-in user type
• When the Group Admin adds or deletes a user from the group, they may create a new user account or delete an existing user account
• A user account is not deleted if the user belongs to another group or if the user is an Administrator

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

This is not a defect. It is working as designed, as explained in the Help for the dialog.

FIX or WORKAROUND

It is necessary to consider the privileges that a Group Admin will have regarding user account creation and deletion.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

CRI-2678 was entered as an enhancement request to modify this feature so that user accounts cannot be deleted or added.

PCS# 29292 was posted for this issue.

It is fixed in Empower 3.6.1.
