ANSWER

There are two errors in the resolution formula. 

In the Empower Help text, under "Verifying system performance":

1. The formula is written with (W2-W1), but in the description it is written with (W2+W1).
   The denominator should indicate addition, not subtraction.
2. The constant value should be 1.18 instead of 1.8. 

CRI-2438 has been created as a documentation issue.

This formula is correct in version 00 of the System Suitability Quick Reference Guide and in Empower 3.7.0 Help, which has been updated.
