ENVIRONMENT
- Solid-phase extraction (SPE)
- Vacuum manifold
- SPE vacuum pump
ANSWER
Waters offers various parts and options for the 20-position manifold. See "Additional Informaiton".

Manifold: See What is the part number for the Waters 20-position vacuum manifold used for solid-phase extraction? - WKB88689
-
We list the various test tube rack offerings in the article referenced above.
-
This manifold does not ship with needle valves (stopcocks), which would be used when processing silica-based SPE devices (so air does not enter the cartridge during use).
-
-
Vacuum Pump: See What is the part number for the Waters benchtop SPE Vacuum Pump? - WKB196320
-
House vacuum may be used, but the vacuum pressure can fluctuate as others employ vacuum in the lab. This can lead to poor SPE reproducibility.
-
-
Liquid Trap: Recommended but not sold by Waters. This trap should be placed between the vacuum source and the manifold.
-
Vacuum Tubing: Waters does not sell vacuum tubing for this manifold. We recommend Tygon (or similar) vacuum tubing that has an I.D. of 3/8 inch and an O.D. of 7/8 inch.

See the Sample Preparation and Laboratory Automation chapter of the current Waters catalog and the "Spare Parts for Waters Extraction Manifolds" table for a list of optional items that can be used with this manifold.
