Which ACQUITY detector (UV or fluorescence) is more sensitive in use with the AccQ•Tag HPLC method? - WKB78431

Article number: 78431

ENVIRONMENT

  • AccQ•Tag
  • HPLC
  • AccQ•Fluor
  • Amino acid analysis (AAA)
  • Alliance

ANSWER

Fluorescence detection is more sensitive when using the AccQ•Tag HPLC chemistry package (WAT052875) on an HPLC system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Tryptophan is not detected with fluorescence; it quenches the signal.  Use additional UV detection in tryptophan analysis.
