The use of non-split septa on ACQUITY FTN sample managers is not recommended because it will cause needle damage, septa coring, and injector blockages.

The use of non-split septa on ACQUITY FL sample managers is permitted because a puncture pin is fitted to the needle assembly.

We recommend the use of pre-slit septa for all sample managers if there are various injector types in the lab.
