With an ACQUITY Arc, there are no peaks in the UV chromatograms - WKB196116
Article number: 196116
SYMPTOMS
- There is no peak in the chromatogram of the vial that was injected last in the sample set
- The sample volume in the vial for which no peak is detected is about 200 uL
- A 2-mL TruView LCMS Certified vial is used
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY Arc
- ACQUITY UPLC Tunable UV Detector
- 2489 UV/Vis Detector
CAUSE
The sample volume in the vial is less than the minimum residual amount.
FIX or WORKAROUND
When using TruView LCMS Certified 2-mL vial with ACQUITY Arc, the minimum residual volume is 360 µL; therefore, the sample volume to prepare for the vial is as follows:
- Required sample volume = Minimum residual volume (360 µL) + Injection volume
The minimum residual volume is the value below which the sample can no longer be drawn. If possible, add a little more sample to the required sample volume noted above.
- Alternatively, change the vial to a Maximum Recovery Vial or a Total Recovery Vial.
