Do the AccQ-Tag Ultra total solution gradients work with the nanoACQUITY UPLC? - WKB121112

Article number: 121112

ENVIRONMENT

  • nanoACQUITY
  • AccQ-Tag Ultra
  • gradient
  • method
  • amino acid analysis
  • AAA

ANSWER

No.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is no method developed for moving the AccQ-Tag Ultra gradient to work on the nanoACQUITY UPLC for the following reasons:

  1. The upper flow range of the nanoACQUITY UPLC with a 1-mm ID mixer kit attached is 0.2 mL/minute. (The AccQ-Tag Ultra gradients run at 0.7 mL/min.)
  2. The maximum pressure limit of the nanoACQUITY UPLC is 10,000 psi. (The AccQ-Tag Ultra method typically runs between 9000 – 13,000psi in pressures).
  3. The AccQ-Tag Ultra methods were designed for 2.1x100 mm columns. [The nanoACQUITY UPLC typically runs with nano columns that range from 75 um ID to 300 um ID and 1 mm ID (with 1 mm ID mixer kit attached).]
