The eCord contains a column label as well as a fob.
The fob contains a memory chip that can be read by an ACQUITY UPLC eCord reader and used to identify a column when attached to an ACQUITY UPLC system.
If the eCord was cut off completely, the column label and the eCord fob are no longer connected to the column.
The alphanumeric characters (for example, EB2 19) stamped onto some of the stainless steel components identify only the lot of steel; they do not identify a specific column part number.
