What is the recommended cleaning procedure for my Carbohydrate Analysis column? - WKB81741

Article number: 81741

ENVIRONMENT

  • Column care and use
  • Column cleaning
  • Carbohydrate Analysis column

ANSWER

The column should be flushed with 80:20 acetonitrile/water or 75:25 acetonitrile/water to start for 50 minutes. After this initial flush, the column can be cleaned with 60:20:20 acetonitrile/methanol/water, 50:20:30 acetonitrile/methanol/water, or 60:40 acetonitrile/methanol.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The column should be flushed with 20-25% water initially, to avoid precipitation of any sugar residues that might still be in the column.

>50% methanol, IPA, or water increases the re-equilibration times after cleaning.
