For a system that has been left unused for more than two days:

Wet prime all buffer lines with water for 4 minutes, and then with 70% IPA for 6-10 minutes before going back to water for 4 minutes and then the specific method buffer for 4 minutes.

Conduct up to 30 injections with a solution of 25:25:25:25 IPA/ACN/MeOH/H2O with 0.2% formic acid (v/v) to clean out the injector. Follow with 3 injections of fresh water, and then 3 injections of sample diluent or buffer to prepare for the new analysis.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Leave the system in 70% IPA after priming the buffer lines with water, or consult system vendor recommendations for specific storage solutions to reduce contamination in a system that will sit idle for 2 days or more.
